Directions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  2. 2Gradually add 1 cup of water while mixing the dry ingredients with your hands.
  3. 3Add 2 tablespoons of water if needed to form a soft dough.
  4. 4Knead the dough for about 10-15 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5Let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
  6. 6Divide the dough into small balls.
  7. 7Roll out each dough ball into thin circles.
  8. 8Brush each circle with oil and sprinkle with flour.
  9. 9Fold each circle in half to form a semi-circle.
  10. 10Cut each semi-circle into triangles.
  11. 11Heat a flat griddle or frying pan and cook the triangles until golden brown.
  12. 12Stack the cooked triangles on a plate, and the sambuus are ready.
