Directions

  1. 1Add 2 cups of water to a cooker.
  2. 2Add crushed ajwain to the water.
  3. 3Add 0.5 teaspoon of jeera to the water.
  4. 4Add 1 teaspoon of red chili powder to the water.
  5. 5Add 1 teaspoon of Papri Khar (or baking soda) to the water.
  6. 6Add salt to taste to the water.
  7. 7Add a very little amount of oil to the water.
  8. 8Bring the mixture to a boil.
  9. 9Add Makai Aata in batches to the boiling mixture.
  10. 10Keep mixing it until it thickens.
  11. 11Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes without the whistle.
  12. 12After 15 minutes, finish it off with some fresh coriander.
  13. 13Serve hot.
