2Grate 1.5-2 tbsp of orange zest into the bowl with the sugar.
3Rub the orange zest and sugar between your fingers until the sugar changes its color and becomes fragrant.
4Add 2 medium eggs to the mixture.
5Whisk the mixture until pale in color.
6Add 1/4 cup of melted butter to the bowl.
7Add 1/4 cup of oil to the bowl.
8Add 2 tbsp of fresh orange juice to the bowl.
9Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract to the bowl.
10Add 1 cup and 2 tbsp of flour to the bowl.
11Add 1/2 tbsp of baking powder and 1/2 tsp of salt to the bowl with flour.
12Add 3 tbsp and 1 tsp of plain yogurt (room temperature) to the bowl.
13Mix until all dry ingredients are slowly combined, do not overmix.
14Pour the batter into a loaf pan lined with baking paper.
15Bake at 170C for about 45-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
16Prepare the orange sugar syrup: In a pot, add 3 tbsp orange juice and 2 tbsp sugar. Mix on low heat until sugar is dissolved.
17Pour the orange sugar syrup over the cake as soon as it's out of the oven.
18Let the cake cool for 15-20 minutes, then remove it from the pan.
19Prepare the orange icing: Whisk together 50g icing sugar, 2 tbsp cream, 1 1/2 tbsp orange juice, and a pinch of salt until a smooth, thick glaze is formed.
20Pour the orange icing over the cake once it's completely cooled down.
