Homemade Oat Milk

Directions

  1. 1Grab one cup of oats and freeze them for about an hour.
  2. 2Take the frozen oats out and put them in a blender cup with four cups of ice cold water.
  3. 3Blend the mixture for about 20 seconds.
  4. 4Grab a bowl, a cheesecloth, and a strainer.
  5. 5Put the cloth over the strainer and then dump the blended mixture into it.
  6. 6Pick up the cloth and strain out the liquid.
  7. 7Add a pinch of salt and a tiny bit of vanilla extract to the strained liquid.
  8. 8Give it all a mix.
  9. 9Grab a container and pour the homemade oat milk into it.
  10. 10Take the leftover mushy oats, put them on a pan, and spread them out flat.
  11. 11Leave the oats out to dry for a couple of hours.
  12. 12Once dry, put the oats in a blender cup and blend for about 30 seconds to make oat flour.

Tips

  • Freeze oats for about an hour before blending to prevent them from becoming slimy.
