Crispy Beef Tacos

Directions

  1. 1Make taco seasoning by combining salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, and oregano in a bowl, then mixing to combine.
  2. 2In a pan, heat clarified butter or oil, add diced onion, and sauté for a minute or until fragrant.
  3. 3Add minced beef to the pan and cook on medium heat until it changes color.
  4. 4Add fresh garlic, season with taco seasoning, and add tomato paste, mixing and sautéing for 2-3 minutes.
  5. 5Add warm water and cook for 8-10 minutes or until the beef is fully cooked and the water has evaporated.
  6. 6Make salsa by mixing chopped onions, diced tomatoes, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  7. 7Make taco sauce by adding mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, taco seasoning, lime juice, and dried parsley to a bowl, then mixing until creamy and smooth.
  8. 8In a pan, heat oil on medium heat, place tortillas, add shredded cheese, and top one side with beef.
  9. 9Close the tortilla by flipping half of it over, then cook until crispy and golden.
  10. 10Serve warm with salsa and taco sauce.

  • 0.5 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • to taste salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 0.33 cup sour cream
  • 0.33 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.33 cup buttermilk or water
  • 1 juice of lime
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 12 -15 mini flour tortillas
  • oil
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese

Tips

  • Adjust taco seasoning to taste for beef and taco sauce.
  • Add more salt to beef if needed after cooking.
