Directions
1
Add about a tablespoon of olive oil to a pan and heat it up.
2
Add 2 pounds of ground beef to the pan.
3
Mash the ground beef down into the smallest pieces possible using a meat masher.
4
Season the ground beef with your preferred burger seasoning, such as salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder.
5
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
6
Scrape the ground beef over to one side of the pan and drain excess grease using a paper towel.
7
Add one whole chopped onion to the pan with the ground beef.
8
Let the onions sweat down until they are nice and soft.
9
Shred 2 cups of cheddar cheese.
10
Set the cooked ground beef and onions aside.
11
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 dry cup of Bisquick, 2 cups of milk (half or whole milk recommended), and 4 eggs.
12
Whisk the mixture until well combined.
13
Transfer the ground beef and onion mixture into an aluminum pan, spreading it out as evenly as possible.
14
Spread the 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the ground beef.
15
Give a quick pass of Kinder's Caramelized Onion Garlic seasoning over the cheese for extra flavor.
16
Pour the Bisquick mixture evenly over the top of the cheese and ground beef, ensuring it gets into every nook and cranny.
17
Place the aluminum pan into the preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 35 minutes, or until done.
18
Clean up your work area while the pie is cooking.
19
After about 32 minutes, check for doneness with a toothpick in the center; if it comes out clean, it's perfect.
20
For the last 3 minutes, flip the oven to broil to give the top a nice color.
21
Serve a slice of the cheeseburger pie on a plate.
22
Drizzle burger sauce over the served slice.
23
Enjoy your cheeseburger pie!
