Directions

  1. 1Add 2 tablespoons of dehydrated onion flakes to a bowl.

  5. 5Add 2 tablespoons of dill weed.
  6. 6Add 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper.
  7. 7Add 1 tablespoon of dried chives.
  8. 8Add half a teaspoon of sugar.
  9. 9Add half a cup of powdered milk.
  10. 10Add 1 tablespoon of cream of tartar.
  11. 11Whisk these ingredients together well to ensure they're entirely incorporated.
  12. 12Store the ranch seasoning mix in an airtight container at room temperature.
  13. 13To make a ranch dip, you will want one cup of sour cream, Greek yogurt, or mayonnaise and two tablespoons of this ranch mix.
  14. 14Mix the ranch dip well.
  15. 15To make a ranch salad dressing, add half a cup of mayo and two tablespoons of the ranch seasoning mix to a bowl.
  16. 16Add half a cup of milk to the ranch salad dressing.
  17. 17Whisk the ranch salad dressing well.

Tips

  • Buttermilk powder makes the creamiest ranch, but whole milk powder with cream of tartar is a perfect buttermilk powder substitute.
  • Costco in St John's is now selling powdered milk.
  • For ranch dip, mix 1 cup of sour cream, Greek yogurt, or mayonnaise with 2 tablespoons of ranch mix.
  • For ranch salad dressing, mix half a cup of mayo and half a cup of milk with 2 tablespoons of ranch mix.
  • Keep the ranch salad dressing chilled.
