Directions

  1. 1Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. 2Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. 3Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  4. 4Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. 5Cook chicken for 5–7 minutes per side, until golden and fully cooked through.
  6. 6Remove from pan and let rest for a few minutes, then slice.
  7. 7In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat.
  8. 8Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  9. 9Stir in flour and cook for about 30–60 seconds (this helps thicken the sauce).
  10. 10Slowly pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously.
  11. 11Let it gently simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  12. 12Add Parmesan cheese and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  13. 13Season the sauce with onion powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper.
  14. 14Add cooked pasta into the sauce and toss to coat.
  15. 15Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce needs to be loosened.
  16. 16Add sliced chicken back into the pan and mix until well combined.

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup reserved pasta water as needed
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
