Ina Garten's Brownie Pudding

Directions

  1. 1Add four large eggs into a mixing bowl.
  2. 2Add two cups of sugar to the bowl.
  3. 3Mix the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy, which should take about 5-7 minutes.
  4. 4Add vanilla bean seeds or vanilla extract to the mixture.
  5. 5Mix the vanilla into the egg and sugar mixture.
  6. 6Sift in 3/4 cup of cocoa powder.
  7. 7Sift in 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour.
  8. 8Mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  9. 9Once partially mixed, add two sticks of melted butter.
  10. 10Continue mixing until all ingredients are well combined.
  11. 11Thoroughly grease a 7x11 baking pan.
  12. 12Place the greased baking pan inside a larger foil pan.
  13. 13Pour the brownie batter into the greased baking pan.
  14. 14Spread the batter out evenly in the pan.
  15. 15Pour very hot tap water into the outside pan until it comes halfway up the inside pan.
  16. 16Bake in a 325-degree Fahrenheit oven for one hour.
  17. 17Remove the brownie pudding from the oven and let it cool.
  18. 18Serve the brownie pudding by scooping it out with a spoon.
