Beef Smash Burgers

Directions

  1. 1Start by making the burger sauce by combining mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a bowl.
  2. 2Mix the sauce well until everything is combined.
  3. 3Heat a pan and brush it with oil.
  4. 4Place onion slices on the pan to caramelize alongside the patties.
  5. 5Form balls of minced beef, ensuring it has at least 20% fat.
  6. 6Place the beef balls on the hot pan next to the onions.
  7. 7Smash the beef balls flat using a potato masher to create the smash burger patties.
  8. 8Season the smashed patties with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  9. 9Flip the patties and onions to cook the other side.
  10. 10Place slices of cheddar cheese on top of the cooked patties to melt.
  11. 11Toast the brioche buns on the pan.
  12. 12Assemble the burger by placing lettuce on the toasted bun.
  13. 13Add a beef patty with melted cheese on top of the lettuce.
  14. 14Spoon some burger sauce over the patty.
  15. 15Add another beef patty.
  16. 16Place tomato slices and caramelized onions on the patty.
  17. 17Spread more burger sauce on the top bun.
  18. 18Cover the burger with the top bun.
