Drop a pound of ground beef into a hot oil pan, break it up, brown it, and drain it.

Add a packet of your favorite taco seasoning, along with a half a cup of salsa and a can of diced green chilies.

Stir the meat mixture together until beautifully combined, then set it aside.

Gently break up a bag of tortilla chips and transfer them into a mixing bowl.

Add the meat mixture on top of the chips.

Add a large can of enchilada sauce and a big handful of shredded cheese.

Mix all the ingredients together well, ensuring the chips are nicely coated.

Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 baking dish.

Add a layer of cheese on top, cover it with foil, and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.

Carefully remove the foil when it comes out of the oven.

Let it cool off before serving.

Serve on a plate, optionally topping with sour cream and sliced black olives.

Tips
For a cheesier topping, return the dish to the oven after removing the foil until the cheese is toasty.
Allow the enchilachos to cool off before serving.
