Cinnamon Rolls

Directions

  1. 1Add the yeast to lukewarm milk and stir until it dissolves.
  2. 2Add the eggs, sugar, and salt, then stir again. Add the flour.
  3. 3Using a kitchen machine with a dough hook, knead the dough on medium speed for 3-4 minutes, then add the butter.
  4. 4Increase the speed and mix for 8-10 minutes on high until you reach a "slippery dough".
  5. 5Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. 6After the dough has rested, dust some flour on a surface and roll it into a 30x40 cm rectangle.
  7. 7Spread out the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough.
  8. 8Roll up the dough with the filling.
  9. 9Cut the cinnamon roll into 8 equal rolls, preferably using thread.
  10. 10Line the buns in an oven pan that fits around 8 rolls.
  11. 11Cover the tray with plastic foil and a dishtowel, and let them rise again for 40 minutes.
  12. 12Pour in about 3-4 tablespoons of cream over the buns.
  13. 13Bake at 200°C (fan) for about 20-25 minutes.
  14. 14Let them cool down slightly before adding the cream cheese icing.
  15. 15Serve and enjoy!
