In a medium sauce pan, stir together cocoa powder and sugar.

Add in salt and cold water and whisk together.

Heat over medium high heat and continue stirring to keep the bottom from scorching.

Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to simmer. Continue stirring for 30 seconds.

Remove from heat and add in vanilla.

Let cool slightly and pour into glass jar.

3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup cold water
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla

Tips
Sugar can be substituted for honey, maple syrup or coconut sugar on a 1:1 ratio.
Store in the fridge up to 4 weeks.
