Homemade Oreo Cakesters

Directions

  1. 1Add white cake mix, two eggs, 1/3 cup of melted butter, and two teaspoons of vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl.
  2. 2Mix the ingredients by hand until well combined and dense.
  3. 3Bake the mixture in a 9-inch round cake pan.
  4. 4Combine chocolate cake mix, two eggs, 1/3 cup of melted butter, and some vanilla extract in the same bowl.
  5. 5Mix by hand until dense and fudgy, just like the vanilla cake mix.
  6. 6Transfer the chocolate cake mixture into a 9-inch round cake pan.
  7. 7Bake both cakes in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
  8. 8Let the cakes cool in their pans for a couple of minutes, then remove them to a wire cooling rack.
  9. 9For the Oreo filling, add one block of cream cheese and a quarter cup of softened butter to a clean bowl.
  10. 10Mix these ingredients well with a mixer.
  11. 11Add between a quarter and half a cup of marshmallow fluff to the mixture and mix it in.
  12. 12Add two teaspoons of vanilla extract to the filling.
  13. 13Start with two cups of powdered sugar and mix it in, adding more if needed until the desired consistency is reached.
  14. 14Use a small cookie cutter to cut out individual cakes from both the vanilla and chocolate cakes.
  15. 15Slice off the tops of the cakes to make them more even for spreading.
  16. 16Spread the cream cheese filling on one half of a cake.
  17. 17Pair a chocolate cake with a vanilla cake, or two of the same, to create the cakesters.
