Creamy Beef Orzo

Directions

  1. 1Remove the ground beef from its packaging and place it into a Dutch oven or large pan.
  2. 2Break up the ground beef with a meat chopper or spoon.
  3. 3Chop half a medium onion.
  4. 4Add the chopped onions to the ground beef in the pan.
  5. 5Add salt to the mixture.
  6. 6Add minced garlic to the mixture.
  7. 7Add Italian seasoning to the mixture.
  8. 8Stir the ingredients together.
  9. 9Add uncooked orzo pasta to the mixture.
  10. 10Add tomato sauce to the mixture.
  11. 11Add beef broth to the mixture.
  12. 12Add heavy cream to the mixture.
  13. 13Stir all ingredients together and bring to a boil, then lower heat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring often.
  14. 14Add fresh baby spinach to the mixture.
  15. 15Stir until the spinach has wilted.
  16. 16Add freshly grated parmesan cheese to the mixture.
  17. 17Stir until combined.
  18. 18Serve the creamy beef orzo onto a plate.
  19. 19Garnish with additional grated parmesan cheese.

  • 0.5 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups (packed) fresh baby spinach
