High-Protein Orange Chicken Chow Mein

Directions

  1. 1Chop celery, cabbage, and garlic.
  2. 2Prepare the orange chicken sauce: Combine orange zest, orange juice, chicken stock, soy sauce, sriracha, hoisin, garlic, stevia, corn starch slurry, and rice vinegar. Whisk well.
  3. 3Cook the vegetables (celery, cabbage, carrots) in a frying pan.
  4. 4Add aromatics to the pan.
  5. 5Pour the sauce into the pan with vegetables.
  6. 6Add 2.5 oz of high protein pasta to the pan.
  7. 7Prepare the orange chicken sauce (for the chicken): Combine ingredients as listed above, omitting the orange zest and juice.
  8. 8Cut 6 oz of chicken into pieces and dip them into a mixture of egg and cornstarch.
  9. 9Air fry chicken at 450 for 15 minutes.
  10. 10Let the sauce simmer and thicken.
  11. 11Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and mix well.
  12. 12Combine the chicken and sauce mixture with the chow mein noodles.

  • 4 tbsp stevia
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 celery
  • 1 cabbage
  • 1 carrots
  • 1 green onion
