Directions

  1. 1Cut one stick of unsalted butter into pieces and place them in a 13x9 inch baking pan.
  2. 2Place the baking pan with butter into the oven at 375°F (190°C) until the butter melts down.
  3. 3While the butter is melting, pour three cans of sliced peaches into a pot.
  4. 4Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the peaches.
  5. 5Add 1 cup of sugar to the peaches.
  6. 6Add a fourth cup of brown sugar to the peaches.
  7. 7Add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon to the peaches.
  8. 8Mix the peach mixture well to combine all ingredients.
  9. 9For the batter, add 1 cup of all-purpose flour to a mixing bowl.
  10. 10Add 1 cup of sugar to the flour.
  11. 11Add 1 tablespoon of baking powder to the mixture.
  12. 12Add a pinch of salt to the mixture.
  13. 13Add 1 cup of whole milk to the dry ingredients.
  14. 14Stir the batter mixture until it has a pancake-like consistency, but a little looser.
  15. 15Thicken the peach mixture slightly until it reaches the desired texture.
  16. 16Pour the batter mixture directly on top of the melted butter in the baking pan.
  17. 17Pour the peach mixture on top of the batter mixture. Do not stir.
