Directions

  1. 1Chop fresh lettuce and place it in a bowl.
  2. 2Peel and grate the bottle gourd (lauki).
  3. 3Squeeze out excess water from the grated bottle gourd.
  4. 4In a bowl, combine the grated bottle gourd with besan, turmeric, salt, red chilli powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
  5. 5Shape the mixture into small, flat kebabs.
  6. 6Cook the kebabs in a frying pan until golden brown and cooked through on both sides.
  7. 7Slice the freshly prepared lauki kebabs into smaller pieces.
  8. 8Place the sliced kebabs on top of the chopped lettuce in the bowl.
  9. 9For the dressing, add tomatoes, red bell pepper, and garlic cloves to a frying pan.
  10. 10Add water to the pan and cover, allowing the vegetables to cook.
  11. 11Once cooked, add paneer to the pan with the vegetables.
  12. 12Transfer the cooked vegetables and paneer to a blender.
  13. 13Blend the ingredients until a smooth dressing is formed.
  14. 14Pour the dressing over the kebabs and lettuce in the bowl.

  • 2 cups Lettuce
  • 0.5 Bottle Gourd
  • 2 tbsp Besan
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric
  • to taste Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Red Chilli pd.
  • 0.5 tsp Coriander pd.
  • 3 to 4 (small) Tomato
  • 1 Red bell pepper
  • 4 5 cloves Garlic
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 50 gm Paneer

Tips

  • You can't taste the lauki (bottle gourd) at all in the kebabs, making them a tasty way to sneak in vegetables.
  • The dressing is simple and ready in less than 15 minutes.
