Serves 1

Directions

  1. 1Caramelize chopped onions in a pan on medium to high heat with 3 Tbsp butter, 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, and salt for about 20 minutes.
  2. 2Set caramelized onions aside.
  3. 3Mix ground beef, panko bread crumbs, 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, eggs, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. 4Form a meatloaf, creating a cavity in the center to fill with caramelized onions and shredded Gruyère cheese. Top with more cheese and onions.
  5. 5Place the meatloaf in a smoker at 350 degrees until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees (approximately 1 1/2 hours).
