Directions

  1. 1Season the pork steaks and sear them in a hot skillet for about 2 minutes on each side.
  2. 2Remove the pork steaks from the pan.
  3. 3Layer the sliced cabbage in the bottom of the skillet, drizzle with Worcestershire sauce, and add a little bit of seasoning.
  4. 4Place the pork steaks back in the skillet on top of the cabbage.
  5. 5Add a layer of sliced russet potatoes over the pork.
  6. 6Mix the Lipton soup mix, beef stew mix, and beef broth in a mixing bowl until well combined.
  7. 7Pour the broth mixture over everything in the skillet.
  8. 8Cover the skillet with foil or a lid and bake in a 350°F oven for an hour and a half.

  • several pork steak
  • seasoning, house blend
  • cabbage, sliced
  • worcestershire sauce
  • russet potato, sliced
  • packet lipton soup mix
  • packet beef stew mix
  • 2 cup beef broth
  • mazola oil (optional)

Equipment

skilletmixing bowlfoil or lid

Tips

  • If you do not have a cast iron skillet with a lid, you can use a Crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
  • Optionally add a splash of Mazola oil to the cabbage.
  • Serve with a side of cornbread.
