Directions

  1. 1Place the chuck roast into the slow cooker.
  2. 2Add the au jus gravy mix.
  3. 3Add the garlic cloves.
  4. 4Add the frozen chopped onions.
  5. 5Pour in the pomegranate juice.
  6. 6Pour in the beef broth and set the slow cooker to low.
  7. 7After 2 hours, stir in the seasonings: worcestershire sauce, chicken bouillon cube, bay leaves, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
  8. 8Add the baby carrots.
  9. 9Add the baby or fingerling potatoes and continue to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.

  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • to taste salt (optional)
  • 1 lb baby carrots
  • 1 1/2 lb baby or fingerling potato

Tips

  • You can use dried garlic as a convenient alternative to fresh garlic cloves.
