Steak Cajun Pasta

Directions

  1. 1Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and black pepper.
  2. 2Add a drizzle of oil to a hot pan and sear the steaks.
  3. 3Add butter, fresh thyme sprigs, and garlic cloves to the pan, and baste the steaks until cooked to your preference.
  4. 4Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest.
  5. 5In the same pan, sauté the chopped onion and red bell pepper until softened.
  6. 6Add minced garlic, another knob of butter, tomato paste, and cajun seasoning, then stir to combine.
  7. 7Pour in the heavy cream and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. 8Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted.
  9. 9Add the cooked rigatoni pasta and toss until well coated.
  10. 10Slice the steak, serve over the pasta, and garnish with chopped parsley and red chili flakes.

  • 1/2 whole yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 whole red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cup rigatoni pasta, cooked
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • red chili flakes (optional)
