Directions
- 1Fill any size glass jar all the way up with evergreen sprigs of your choice, leaving room for citrus peels if desired.
- 2Fill the jar to the top with either 5% distilled white vinegar, 50%+ (100 proof+) vodka, or 70%+ isopropyl alcohol.
- 3Put a lid on the jar, lining it with parchment paper first if using vinegar and a metal lid.
- 4Label the jar with the date and its contents.
- 5Place the jar in a cool, dry, dark place for 4 weeks.
- 6Shake the jar daily.
- 7After 4 weeks, strain and bottle the liquid and compost the plant parts.

Tips
- Test on an inconspicuous area first when spraying on fabric, as it may stain depending on what you use.
- You can spray this concentrate on surfaces at full strength or dilute it with equal parts water if you prefer.
- The liquid solvent needs to be strong enough to preserve the extract; too dilute and it will go bad quickly.
- This method is safer and more "natural" than dropping highly concentrated essential oils into water or vinegar, which does not safely dilute them (only oil and everclear can dilute essential oils).
