Latvian Piradzini (Bacon Rolls)

Directions

  1. 1Activate yeast.
  2. 2Make dough by mixing all ingredients.
  3. 3Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, approximately 30-45 minutes.
  5. 5While the dough is rising, cook the filling: saute diced onions and diced bacon until bacon is crispy and onions are translucent.
  6. 6Roll out the risen dough into a large circle or rectangle.
  7. 7Use a round cookie cutter to cut out individual dough circles.
  8. 8Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dough circle.
  9. 9Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal.
  10. 10Place the formed piradzini on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  11. 11Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • 1 onion
  • 1 salt
  • 1 pepper
