Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. 2Drain capers and set on a paper towel to absorb an excess moisture.
  3. 3Cut the ends off of the hot dogs.
  4. 4Then cut hot dogs in half crosswise.
  5. 5Keeping the middle intact, make three slices on both ends of the hot dog to create 4 "spider legs".
  6. 6Each hot dog will make 2 spiders.
  7. 7Remove crescent roll dough and cut into strips about 1 inch wide and 2-3 inches long.
  8. 8Wrap dough around hot dogs and pinching to seal.
  9. 9Place seem side down and press on two caper "eyes".
  10. 10Space hot dog spiders out on a baker sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  11. 11Remove from oven and serve immediately.

  • 1 8 oz can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 jar capers

Tips

  • I recommend Applegate hot dogs.
  • I recommend Annie's Crescent Rolls.
  • These are for the spider eyes. You could also use little pieces of olives or even poppy seeds.
  • You can use parchment paper on the baking sheet if desired
