Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Directions

  1. 1Place a 3 to 8 lb turkey breast in a 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. 2Combine 2 teaspoons each of paprika, salt, dried oregano, and dried rosemary, along with 1 teaspoon each of dried thyme, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. 3Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the seasonings and stir to form a paste.
  4. 4Loosen the skin of the turkey breast by sliding your fingers between the skin and the meat.
  5. 5Spoon about half of the seasoning mixture inside the loosened skin, pressing it onto the meat. Flip the turkey and season from both sides.
  6. 6Spread the remaining seasoning on the outside of the turkey breast.
  7. 7Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours.
  8. 8For crispy skin, remove the crock insert from the slow cooker, place it in the oven 6 inches beneath the broiler setting, and broil on high for 3 to 5 minutes.
  9. 9Return the insert to the slow cooker and serve.
