Preheat oven to 350ºF.

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Remove pork chops from package and rub seasoning mixture over all sides.

Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium flame until shimmering, then add pork chops.

Cook chops for about 5 minutes on each side, until nicely browned.

If chops are thicker than one inch, transfer skillet to preheated oven for another 5-10 minutes.

Test chops with a meat thermometer; internal temperature should reach 145ºF.

Dredge chops through the thick sauce in the pan before serving
