Easy, Healthier Philly Cheesesteak Pasta
Directions
- 1Add salt to boiling water.
- 2Add 1 and 1/4 cup pasta to the boiling water.
- 3Cook the pasta for 7 minutes.
- 4Save 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- 5Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- 6Add olive oil to a pan.
- 7Add 1 chopped onion to the pan.
- 8Add 1 chopped green pepper to the pan.
- 9Add sliced mushrooms to the pan.
- 10Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic to the pan.
- 11Cook until the vegetables are soft.
- 12Make space in the pan for the beef.
- 13Add lean ground beef to the pan.
- 14Season the beef with salt, pepper, paprika and chili powder.
- 15Cook the beef until brown.
- 16Add 1/4 cup light cream cheese to the pan.
- 17Add 1/3 cup fat free Greek yogurt to the pan.
- 18Add 1/3 cup light mozzarella cheese to the pan.
- 19Add 1/2 cup of the saved pasta water to the pan.
- 20Mix well until combined.
- 21Add the cooked pasta to the pan.
- 22Mix all ingredients well until fully combined and coated.
