Directions

Whisk together the milk and egg yolks in a bowl and set aside.

Whisk together the brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan.

Slowly pour the milk and egg mixture into the saucepan and stir.

Place over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until it begins to bubble and thicken, then boil for 1 minute.

Remove from heat and stir in the butter and maple extract until smooth and creamy.

2/3 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
2 cup milk
2 egg yolk
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp maple extract

Tips
If you want a thicker pudding, you can boil for two to three minutes instead of one.
The pudding can be served warm or chilled.
Vanilla extract can be used as a substitute for maple extract.
