2To a bowl, add two cups of sifted self rising flour and place the bowl in the freezer.
3In a cast iron skillet, add about a tablespoon of bacon drippings.
4Grate one stick of frozen butter.
5Get the bowl of flour out of the freezer and add the butter to the flour. Fork or cut in the butter into the flour.
6Add cold milk a little bit at a time, using a fork to combine until the dough starts to form.
7Flour a clean surface and turn the dough out. Gently form the dough into a rectangle and fold it 12 times, adding flour if it gets sticky. Smooth out the dough on the 12th fold.
8Place the cutter into the freezer until ready to use. Dip the cutter into flour to coat it completely and cut out biscuits.
9Place the biscuits into the hot cast iron skillet. Cook at 425 for 15 minutes. Turn the broil on until tops are golden brown.
