Pineapple upside down cake

Directions
- 1Crack one egg into a mixing bowl.
- 2Add 175g of granulated sugar to the bowl.
- 3Add 175g of butter to the bowl.
- 4Add 175g of self-raising flour to the bowl.
- 5Add 1 teaspoon of baking powder to the bowl.
- 6Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the bowl.
- 7Mix all ingredients together using an electric mixer until well combined and smooth.
- 8Grease a baking dish with butter.
- 9Pour 3 tablespoons of golden syrup into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
- 10Place 4 pineapple slices into the baking dish on top of the golden syrup.
- 11Place a glace cherry in the center of each pineapple slice.
- 12Pour the cake batter over the pineapple slices and cherries in the baking dish, spreading it evenly to cover them.
- 13Bake the cake until it's golden brown and cooked through.
- 14Once baked, invert the cake onto a serving plate.
- 15Serve the pineapple upside down cake with evaporated milk.
