Directions

  1. 1Pour two cups of boiling water into a bowl.
  2. 2Add two 3-ounce packs of lemon Jell-O and two 5-ounce packs of Red Hots to the boiling water.
  3. 3Stir until dissolved.
  4. 4Strain the apple juice from the applesauce.
  5. 5Pour the Red Hots mixture through a strainer into the applesauce, discarding the chewy centers of the Red Hots.
  6. 6Stir until everything is well combined.
  7. 7Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  8. 8Place the dish in the refrigerator to chill.

  • 2 5-ounce packs Red Hots
  • 1 jar applesauce
