Churros Bites with Chocolate dip

Directions

  1. 1In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt.
  2. 2Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. 3Add flour all at once and stir vigorously until the dough forms a ball and pulls away from the pot.
  4. 4Remove the dough from heat and let it cool for 3-5 minutes.
  5. 5Add the 2 eggs to the dough, mixing until smooth, thick, and glossy.
  6. 6Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
  7. 7Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  8. 8Heat oil to 3500F / 1800C in a frying pan.
  9. 9Pipe small 1-inch pieces of dough into the hot oil, using scissors to cut them.
  10. 10Fry the churro bites until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
  11. 11Drain the fried churros on paper towels.
  12. 12Toss the warm churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
  13. 13Gently heat milk in a saucepan (do not boil).
  14. 14Pour the hot milk over the chopped chocolate.
  15. 15Let the chocolate and milk sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
  16. 16Add 1 tbsp butter to the chocolate dip for shine and stir.
  17. 17Add sugar if you want the chocolate dip sweeter or thicker.

  • 100 g chocolate
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Tips

  • If the chocolate dip is too thin, return to the pot and simmer for 1-2 minutes to thicken.
