Serves 8

Directions

  1. 1Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar to your focaccia dough and use vegetable oil instead of olive oil.
  2. 2Proof your focaccia as normal then dimple and bake. It may need a few minutes less time in the oven due to the added sugar.
  3. 3While focaccia is baking, fill a piping bag with 1 cup of jam.
  4. 4Make the glaze by whisking together 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  5. 5Once the focaccia is out of the oven, let it cool for five minutes.
  6. 6Place the focaccia on a cooling rack, poke holes into it with a straw, and fill the holes with jam.
  7. 7Drizzle the glaze over the focaccia, then brush the glaze evenly over the top and sides.
  8. 8Rub the bottom of the focaccia in the glaze that dripped on the tray.
  9. 9Place the focaccia on a cooling rack and let the glaze harden for at least 30 minutes.
  10. 10Cut and enjoy!
