Seafood Dressing

Directions

  1. 1Crumble the cornbread over a baking sheet.
  2. 2Pop the cornbread into the oven for 15 minutes to dry it out.
  3. 3Chop up the onion, red bell pepper, and celery into equal-sized pieces.
  4. 4In a skillet over medium-high heat, toss in some butter and let it melt down.
  5. 5Add the onion, bell pepper, and celery with a little bit of garlic and some all-purpose seasoning to the skillet.
  6. 6Once the vegetables cook down, toss in some cream of chicken soup.
  7. 7Add chicken stock to the same can of cream of chicken soup and pour it into the skillet.
  8. 8Season the mixture in the skillet and taste along the way.
  9. 9Add the dried cornbread to a bowl with the cream of chicken mixture.
  10. 10Toss in some more chicken stock until it gets the right consistency.
  11. 11Give the mixture one more taste before gently folding in the shrimp, crab meat, and one egg.
  12. 12Add the dressing mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  13. 13Cook the dressing in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes or until golden brown and set in the middle.
