Directions

1Cream together butter and powdered sugar.
2Add vanilla extract and eggs.
3Add flour and mix until a dough forms.
4Divide dough into three parts. Add red food coloring to one, pink to another and leave the third plain.
5Roll the dough and cut out heart shapes.
6Bake the cookies.
7Cream together butter and powdered sugar for the filling.
8Add meringue powder and milk to make the filling.
9Mix until combined.
10Assemble the sandwich cookies by spreading the filling and topping with another cookie.
