Directions
1
Hit your tenders with a handful of flour and a seasoning mix of salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika and cayenne pepper.
2
Mix it all up and allow the tenders to dry out.
3
Add cornstarch and baking powder to the flour mix, then add the same seasoning as before.
4
Transfer one-third of that mixture into another bowl.
5
Crack in some club soda.
6
The batter should resemble a really thin pancake batter consistency.
7
Dip the dry tender into the wet batter, then into the dry, one last time into the wet, and then just finish into the dry.
8
To make the honey barbecue sauce, you'll need some ketchup and a healthy amount of brown sugar.
9
Add apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and honey.
10
Add cubes of cold butter to make it nice and smooth.
11
Drop tenders into oil set at 350° for 5-6 minutes, allow to rest, then back in for 1 minute.
12
Dip in ranch before eating.
