Directions

  1. 1Hit your tenders with a handful of flour and a seasoning mix of salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika and cayenne pepper.
  2. 2Mix it all up and allow the tenders to dry out.
  3. 3Add cornstarch and baking powder to the flour mix, then add the same seasoning as before.
  4. 4Transfer one-third of that mixture into another bowl.
  5. 5Crack in some club soda.
  6. 6The batter should resemble a really thin pancake batter consistency.
  7. 7Dip the dry tender into the wet batter, then into the dry, one last time into the wet, and then just finish into the dry.
  8. 8To make the honey barbecue sauce, you'll need some ketchup and a healthy amount of brown sugar.
  9. 9Add apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and honey.
  10. 10Add cubes of cold butter to make it nice and smooth.
  11. 11Drop tenders into oil set at 350° for 5-6 minutes, allow to rest, then back in for 1 minute.
  12. 12Dip in ranch before eating.
