Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. 2Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. 3Cook and stir sausage in a hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. 4Drain and discard grease from the sausage.
  5. 5Set aside the sausage to cool slightly.
  6. 6Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned and crisp, about 10 minutes.
  7. 7Drain bacon slices on paper towels.
  8. 8Crumble the bacon when cool enough to handle.
  9. 9Whisk together pancake mix and water until well combined.
  10. 10Stir in maple syrup to the pancake batter.
  11. 11Add sausage, bacon, and cheese to the pancake batter and fold the mixture together until well incorporated.
  12. 12Pour half of your pancake batter into the prepared baking dish.
  13. 13Add the pre-cooked breakfast sausage.
  14. 14Add crumbled bacon.
  15. 15Add some half-cooked scrambled eggs.
  16. 16Add a drizzle of maple syrup.
  17. 17Add some shredded cheddar cheese.
  18. 18Top it with the remaining pancake batter.
  19. 19Add an extra drizzle of syrup if you want.
  20. 20Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  21. 21Spread butter over the hot casserole and serve with extra syrup as desired.
