Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, mix together atta, besan, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, jeera, chaat masala, kasuri methi and oil.
  2. 2Add water to the mixture and knead into a semi-soft dough.
  3. 3Rest the dough for 15 minutes.
  4. 4Roll out the dough thinly.
  5. 5Use a round cutter or a bowl to cut the dough into round shapes.
  6. 6Cook the khakhras on a hot tawa, on low flame, for 5-7 minutes on both sides, using a cloth to press and ensure even cooking.

  • 3 tbsp besan (gram flour)
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp zeera (cumin seeds)
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tbsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 100 ml water
