Spicy Tuna Sushi Bake

Directions

  1. 1Cut up some green onions, separating the whites and greens.
  2. 2Thinly slice half a cucumber.
  3. 3Set aside the sliced cucumber while preparing the tuna.
  4. 4Drain the canned tuna.
  5. 5Add Kewpie mayo, Sriracha, sesame oil, soy sauce, black pepper, white sesame seeds, and the white part of the green onions to the tuna.
  6. 6Mix all the tuna ingredients well.
  7. 7Lay down warm fresh jasmine rice in an oven-safe dish.
  8. 8Pack the rice down.
  9. 9Sprinkle Furikake over the rice.
  10. 10Lay down the sliced cucumber on top of the Furikake-seasoned rice, arranging them to look like flowers.
  11. 11Lay down the mixed tuna on top of the cucumber layer, spreading it evenly.
  12. 12Drizzle Kewpie mayo and Sriracha over the tuna layer.
  13. 13Set the oven to broil.
  14. 14Broil the dish for about 5 minutes.
  15. 15Once broiled, sprinkle more Furikake and the green parts of the green onions on top.
  16. 16Serve the spicy tuna sushi bake with seaweed.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Light skipjack tuna in water
  • 3 tbsp Kewpie mayo
  • 1.5 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1.5 tsps Sesame oil
  • 0.5 tbsp Soy sauce by Kikkoman
  • 1 dash Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds
  • 0.33 cup Green onion (chopped & separated)
  • 2.5 cups Jasmine rice (cooked)
  • 0.5 tbsp Nori komi furikake rice seasoning by Ajishima Foods
  • 0.5 unit Cucumber (thinly sliced)
  • 1.5 tbsp Kewpie mayo
  • 1.5 tbsp Sriracha
