Directions

  1. 1Mix ground beef with chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and mineral salt until well combined.
  2. 2Form the mixture into a ball, place it between two layers of plastic wrap, and flatten it to 1/8 inch thickness using a heavy object.
  3. 3Carefully transfer the flattened beef onto a cooling rack, remove the plastic wrap, and score the surface with a knife to create slits.
  4. 4Preheat oven to 75°C (167°F). Place the beef on a baking sheet on the bottom rack to catch any drips.
  5. 5Dehydrate the beef in the preheated oven for 4-6 hours, checking for firmness and pliability.
  6. 6Let the jerky cool completely and break it apart along the slits or cut into pieces.
