Open-faced wontons

Directions

  1. 1Start by making the sauce.
  2. 2Add soy sauce to a bowl.
  3. 3Add chili garlic sauce to the bowl.
  4. 4Add water to the bowl.
  5. 5Add sesame oil to the bowl.
  6. 6Add rice wine vinegar to the bowl.
  7. 7Add white sugar to the bowl.
  8. 8Add sesame seeds to the bowl.
  9. 9Mix the sauce ingredients together.
  10. 10Set the sauce aside while you make the wonton filling.
  11. 11In a bowl, add ground pork and ground beef.
  12. 12Add three packaged coleslaw mixes to the bowl.
  13. 13Add garlic and ginger to the bowl.
  14. 14Add soy sauce to the bowl.
  15. 15Add sugar to the bowl.
  16. 16Add sesame oil to the bowl.
  17. 17Cut up some green onions.
  18. 18Add the green onions to the bowl.
  19. 19Mix the filling ingredients together until well combined.
  20. 20Cut open the wonton wrappers package.
  21. 21Place some filling on a wonton wrapper, spreading it out evenly.
  22. 22Brush some oil down on a pan on medium-high heat.
  23. 23Lay down the wontons meat side down in the pan.
  24. 24Brush some oil on the back of the wontons.
  25. 25Flip the wontons after a couple of minutes.
  26. 26Fry the wontons until they are nice and crispy.
  27. 27Add a bit of chili oil to the cooked wontons.
  28. 28Serve the wontons with the sauce.

Tips

  • Don't make the filling too thick, or it will take too long to cook.
  • Fold the wontons in half like a taco and dip them in the sauce to eat them.
