In a bowl, add one pound of ground beef, two Italian sausages removed from the casings, a half cup of breadcrumbs, two tablespoons of red wine, three cloves of garlic, one egg, one teaspoon of oregano, a quarter cup of chopped basil, one teaspoon of black pepper, one teaspoon of salt, and about a quarter cup of grated parmesan.
Mix it all together, form them into golf ball-sized balls, and place them on a baking sheet.
Pop them into an oven preheated to 450 for about 12 minutes.
Into a hot pan, add two tablespoons of olive oil, half of an onion, four cloves of minced garlic, two tablespoons of tomato paste, about 28 ounces of marinara sauce, a half cup of stock, one teaspoon of garlic powder, one teaspoon of chili flakes, a quarter cup of basil, two bay leaves, and about three quarters of a cup of parmesan cheese.
Once the meatballs are done, take them out of the oven and nestle them into the sauce.
Let them simmer for about five minutes.
Top with a little more parmesan cheese and some chives.
