Add baking powder to the mixture.

Heat up the vegetable oil in a pan on the hot plate.

Dip an onion ring into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated.

Place the coated onion ring into the hot oil.

Repeat with more onion rings, placing them in the hot oil.

Flip the onion rings halfway through cooking.

Cook until golden brown.

Remove the cooked onion rings from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess grease.
