Hawaiian Roll “Cinnamon Rolls”

Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, mix the softened butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until smooth and combined.
  2. 2Grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. 3Take the Hawaiian rolls and cut them in half horizontally while keeping them attached together as a single block.
  4. 4Place the bottom half of the rolls into the greased baking dish.
  5. 5Spread half of the cinnamon mixture over the bottom half of the rolls.
  6. 6Place the top half of the rolls on top of the cinnamon layer, then spread the remaining cinnamon mixture over the top of the rolls.
  7. 7Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  8. 8While the rolls are baking, make the icing by mixing the softened cream cheese, softened butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  9. 9Cream the icing ingredients together for about a minute.
  10. 10Mix in the powdered sugar until smooth.
  11. 11Remove the rolls from the oven and spread the cream cheese icing over the top.

  • 1/2 block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 stick butter, softened
  • 2 tsp imitation vanilla flavor
  • a pinch salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
