Authentic Nepali Iskus Momo

Directions

  1. 1Start by peeling and grating the iskus.
  2. 2Prepare the ginger and pound it properly.
  3. 3Finely chop the onions.
  4. 4Squeeze the water out of the iskus really well.
  5. 5Mix everything together along with salt, a little MSG, and enough refined oil for the momo filling.
  6. 6For the soup, use any residue left from the momo filling, add any available vegetables, water, salt, ginger, and MSG.
  7. 7For the achar, grind raw garlic, dalle or any chili, tomato, and salt.
  8. 8Everyone gathers and prepares the momo together.

  • Do not skip squeezing water out of iskus as it holds a lot of water.
