Directions

  1. 1Bring water to a boil in a pot.
  2. 2Add salt to the boiling water.
  3. 3Add fettuccine to the boiling water.
  4. 4Cook fettuccine until al dente.
  5. 5In a large bowl, soften butter.
  6. 6Cut the heat. Add the fettuccine to the butter.
  7. 7Toss to coat.
  8. 8Add parmesan cheese and toss.
  9. 9Add pasta water and toss.
  10. 10Toss vigorously.
  11. 11Season with salt to taste.
  12. 12Serve and add extra cheese on top.

  • 1 pound fettuccine
  • 1 pot water
  • 1 handful salt
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 2 cups parmigiano reggiano
