Moongdal Chaat

Directions

  1. 1Wash 2 cups of moongdal thoroughly.
  2. 2Soak the moongdal in water for 3 hours.
  3. 3Add the soaked moongdal to boiling water.
  4. 4Add salt to taste and remove any foam that rises to the surface.
  5. 5Boil the moongdal for 5 minutes.
  6. 6Strain the boiled moongdal.
  7. 7Spread the moongdal on a cloth and let it dry completely.
  8. 8Transfer the dried moongdal to a bowl and add 3 to 4 tablespoons of oil and 1/2 tablespoon of salt.
  9. 9Mix well.
  10. 10Transfer the moongdal to an air fryer tray.
  11. 11Air fry at 200 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes, making sure to mix the dal in between.
  12. 12The air-fried crispy moong dal is ready and can be stored for a long time.
  13. 13To make the chaat, add 1/4 cup of finely chopped cucumber to a bowl.
  14. 14Add 1/4 cup of finely chopped capsicum.
  15. 15Add 1/4 cup of boiled corn.
  16. 16Add 2 finely chopped green chillies.
  17. 17Add salt to taste.
  18. 18Add 1/4 teaspoon of red chilli powder.
  19. 19Add a pinch of hing.
  20. 20Add lemon juice.
  21. 21Add 1/4 cup of pomegranate.
  22. 22Add the air-fried moong dal.
  23. 23Mix all ingredients well.
  24. 24The Moongdal Chaat is ready to be served.

  • 0.25 cup finely chopped cucumber
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 0.25 cup boiled corn
  • 2 finely chopped green chilli
  • salt
  • 0.25 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 pinch hing
  • lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup pomegranate
