Take milk out of the fridge and leave it outside.

Crush green cardamom and ginger.

Put water in a saucepan and set the burner to high flame.

Once the water is boiling, turn the flame to medium-low, and add crushed ginger, green cardamom and cloves to the boiling water.

Let the mixture boil for 3 minutes so that the flavors can infuse.

Add the tea leaves and the sugar.

Once the tea settles, let the mixture boil on a medium flame.

Add the milk, and let it cook while mixing with a ladle.

Strain into a glass.

Add a pinch of cinnamon and a cardamom powder.

2 Inch Ginger
3 Cup Water
2 Cloves
3 tsp Tea Leaves
3 tsp Sugar

Tips
Always take the milk from the fridge and let it sit outside.
Boil the water before adding any other ingredient.
It is VERY IMPORTANT to crush the ginger, do not grate it.
In hot climates, add some fennel to the chai. This will help cool you down.
In cold climates, add some black pepper or saffron. It helps when you have a cough or a cold.
Add the sugar with the tea leaves, if you want a strong tea.
Do not use cold milk or tea, you can also put some hot cinnamon and cardamom powder to give it that final aroma.
