Directions
- 1Chop 4 cloves of garlic.
- 2Peel and grate 3 tablespoons of fresh ginger.
- 3Add in about a cup of red pepper flakes.
- 4Add about a cup of soy sauce and a little rice vinegar.
- 5Transfer the sauce to a slightly bigger bowl.
- 6Add in the chopped garlic, half a cup of honey, salt and a little bit of lemon juice.
- 7Whisk until well combined.
- 8Clean the chicken with lemon juice and vinegar.
- 9Rinse it off, pat it dry, and cut it into small strips.
- 10Season with cayenne pepper, sesame seeds, mushroom seasoning, olive oil, salt and pepper.
- 11Coat the chicken strips with about a cup of corn starch.
- 12Fry the chicken in a pan.
- 13Chop a serrano pepper, peanuts and cilantro for garnish.
- 14Cut the cabbage into wedges.
- 15Add the sauce to the fried chicken in the pan and cook until it gets thick and sticky.
- 16Add the chopped serrano pepper and cilantro, and stir everything together.
- 17Serve the chicken in lettuce cups or cabbage wedges, garnished with peanuts and cilantro.
